US judge allows Meta layoffs even as staff claim it targeted people with disabilities

A US judge has refused to block Meta's planned layoffs after 26 employees challenged the company's AI-driven selection process, alleging it unfairly targeted workers with disabilities or those who took medical leave. The layoffs are set to begin on July 22. The judge said the workers failed to prove the irreparable harm needed for an emergency order.
