US judge blocks Trump's policies targeting immigrants from 39 countries

A federal judge in the US has blocked a series of policies the Trump administration enacted last year that halted asylum grants, as well as the processing of immigration benefits for people from 39 countries. These policies "threw the lives of countless immigrants living in the United States into indeterminate legal limbo," District Judge John McConnell said.
