US judge temporarily halts Arizona criminal case against Kalshi

A US judge has blocked Arizona's criminal proceedings against prediction market platform Kalshi. The country's Commodity Futures Trading Commission said the court granted its request for temporarily restraining states from regulating the industry. Arizona's attorney general accused the platform of operating an illegal gambling business in the state and allowing people to place bets on elections.
