US launches fresh attack to 'punish' Iran after 2 US troops killed in Jordan

US said it launched a new round of airstrikes on Iran on Sunday to "swiftly punish" it following the deaths of two American troops in an Iranian attack at a US airbase in Jordan. This is the first time US troops have been killed since fighting resumed. The US strikes aimed to degrade Iran’s ability to control Hormuz, CENTCOM said.
