US lawmaker compares transgender people to 'mutants' from X-Men

A Republican state lawmaker in US' Florida called transgender people "demons" and compared them to mutants from the X-Men universe during a legislative hearing on Monday. The lawmaker, Webster Barnaby, made these remarks while arguing in favour of a bill that would make it a crime for transgender people in Florida to use public restrooms consistent with their gender identity.
