US lawmakers ask Trump to seek lower Indian tariffs on pulses

Two US lawmakers have urged President Donald Trump to seek lower tariffs on American pulse crops in any trade deal with India. In a letter, Senators Steve Daines and Kevin Cramer said India's "unfair" tariffs put American producers at "significant competitive disadvantage". The US and India are currently in advanced discussions for a free trade agreement.
