US man sets Guinness World Record with 5-ft-long beard lock

A 54-year-old US man, Matthew Hey, has set a Guinness World Record for the longest natural beard locks on a living person (male). His beard lock measures 5 feet 3 inches (1.603 metres), nearly 2 feet longer than the previous record of 3 feet 6 inches, held by fellow American Rudolf Martino. Hey has not trimmed his facial hair for over two decades.
