US may be forced to refund ₹16 lakh crore as Trump's tariffs get blocked

US government may be forced to refund $175 billion (nearly ₹16 lakh crore) to importers after the US Supreme Court struck down most of the tariffs announced by Donald Trump. The number was estimated by economists of Penn-Wharton Budget Model, a non-partisan fiscal research group. The estimated amount would exceed US' total budget for its transport and justice departments.
