US' Minneapolis, where George Floyd was killed, to dismantle its police department

Nine out of the 12 members of the Minneapolis City Council in the US on Sunday pledged to dismantle the police department and promised to create a new system of public safety. This comes amid protests over the killing of George Floyd, the black man who died after a white policeman knelt on his neck in Minneapolis.
