US murder rate hits 70-yr low, Trump calls it 'Best record in history'
US President Donald Trump took credit for the nation's "best crime record in recorded history," pointing to FBI's 2025 crime data. US murder rate fell 18.1% last year to 4.1 killings per 100,000 people, the lowest since 1956, CNN reported. Trump said, "We achieved the single largest reduction in violent crime in American history...Everyone knows we've done an amazing job."
