US navy's costliest destroyer breaks down after 1 month
The $4.4-billion (around ₹30,100 crore) US Navy destroyer USS Zumwalt broke down in the Panama Canal around one month after it was commissioned. It was scheduled to arrive in San Diego to activate its weapons system when it lost propulsion. The warship, also called 'Batman's Ship', features a gun system that fires rocket-powered shells up to 63 nautical miles.
