US officer saves suicidal man by listening, hugs him

A Nashville police lieutenant helped save a suicidal man from jumping off a bridge over the Cumberland River. The incident happened on July 23 at the Victory Memorial Bridge and ended with the man stepping away from the ledge and hugging the officer, who had spent several minutes simply listening to him.
