US overtakes India to become Bangladesh's 2nd-largest trade partner

The US has overtaken India as Bangladesh's second-largest trading partner, with two-way trade reaching nearly $12.67 billion last financial year, compared with India's $10.72 billion, Firstpost reported. The US led by $1.95 billion as trade with India declined and imports from Washington surged. Bangladesh increased imports of US wheat, liquefied natural gas (LNG), and cotton during the year.
