The United States Trade Representative (USTR) has proposed trade action against India and 59 other economies after determining that they have failed to impose prohibitions on the import of goods produced with forced labour. While Canada, Mexico, Indonesia, and EU would face 10% additional tariffs, 12.5% additional tariffs could be imposed on India, China, Japan, and Brazil among other nations.
