US plans upto 80% hike in citizenship application fee

Applying for US citizenship may become more expensive as US is planning up to an 80% hike in application fee. The price of filing Form N-400 by paper would rise by 75%, from $760 to $1,330, and the cost of submitting it online would increase by 80%, from $710 to $1,280. Application fees to reconsider citizenship denial may also increase.
