US pledges additional $30 million in aid for flood-hit Pakistan

The United States on Thursday pledged an additional $30 million in aid for Pakistan, as the country recovers from devastating floods that hit earlier in the year. The US embassy in Pakistan said, "This new funding brings the United States' total assistance to Pakistan...to $97 million this year." Since mid-June this year, floods have killed over 1,700 people in Pakistan.
