US preparing ban on Chinese software, hardware in cars: Report

US President Joe Biden's administration is preparing to ban import and sale of vehicles with Chinese communications or automated driving system software or hardware, reports said. The move comes amid rising concerns over collection of data on US drivers and infrastructure by Chinese companies, as well as potential foreign manipulation of vehicles connected to the internet and navigation systems.
