The US government has proposed to ban Chinese-developed software from internet-connected cars in the country. Citing national security concerns, Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo said that in an extreme situation, a foreign adversary could shut down their vehicles in US at the same time causing crashes and blocking roads. This could bar nearly all Chinese cars from entering the US market.
