US rapper DMX dies aged 50 after being on life support with 'no brain activity'

American rapper and actor Earl Simmons, known by the stage name DMX, died aged 50 on Friday, People magazine said, after suffering a heart attack during what media reports said was a drug overdose. He was on life support for the past few days with 'no brain activity'. DMX collapsed at home and was taken to a New York hospital.
