US real estate mogul gets $6B in gold reserves to back new crypto

New York City-based real estate mogul Kent Swig has secured at least $6 billion in gold reserves to back a new cryptocurrency. The value of the digital token DIGau will be pegged to market price of gold, Bloomberg reported. The 60-year-old Swig said he became interested in cryptocurrencies after learning about them from his teenage son.
