US refuses to comment on its citizen's arrest in India over terror activities

The US has refused to comment on the arrest of American national Matthew Aaron Van Dyke by the NIA at Kolkata airport over alleged anti-India terror activities. "We're aware of the situation, but for privacy reasons we cannot comment on cases involving US citizens," the US Embassy in New Delhi said. Six Ukrainian nationals were also arrested with Matthew.
