US registers lowest population growth rate at 0.1% amid pandemic

US' population grew by 0.1% for the period between July 2020 to July 2021, the lowest growth rate since the nation's founding. The US added 3,92,665 people to its population during that period. "The slow rate of growth can be attributed to decreased net international migration, decreased fertility, and increased mortality due in part to the...pandemic," US Census Bureau said.
