US relied too much on AI, killed 123 kids by bombing school which AI thought was IRGC facility

The Minab bombing by the US in February saw two Tomahawk missiles hit an elementary school, killing 123 children, after US officials relied too much on Palantir's AI-powered Maven Smart System, Bloomberg reported. Maven is used to view and coordinate complex military operations. US officials expected Maven to flag stale information that still identified the school as an IRGC facility.
