Some US East Coast residents received a false tsunami warning on Tuesday. The US National Weather Service (NWS) said that it sent a routine test warning, however, some people received an actual warning. Private firm AccuWeather app which passed on the alert to residents has blamed the error on NWS, saying that it miscoded the message as a real warning.
