US restores UK access to AI models for pre-release safety check

US AI developers can give the UK government early access to AI models for safety testing without facing opposition from President Donald Trump's administration, The Telegraph reported. The administration has reversed its earlier request asking companies like OpenAI and Anthropic not to share models with Britain's AI Security Institute before release.
