US returns over 1,400 looted artefacts worth $10 million to India
The US has returned over 1,400 looted artefacts worth $10 million to India. Among the returned artefacts is an 11th-century sandstone sculpture of a celestial dancer, which was illegally transported from India to London and then sold and donated to a New York museum. In July, India and US signed the first ever 'Cultural Property Agreement' to protect cultural property.
