US, S Korea, Japan hold missile defence drills for the 1st time since 2017

US, South Korea and Japan carried out a ballistic missile defence exercise off Hawaii's coast, the Pentagon said in a statement. It was first such exercise since 2017 which saw participation of the three countries. The Pentagon's statement said that the drills demonstrated the three countries' commitment to respond to challenges posed by North Korea and protect shared security.
