US says no further military action expected in Venezuela, offers justification

US Senator Mike Lee said US Secretary of State Marco Rubio informed him that Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has been arrested by US personnel to stand trial on criminal charges. "The kinetic action we saw tonight was deployed to protect and defend those executing the arrest warrant," Lee said, quoting Rubio. "[Rubio] anticipates no further action in Venezuela," Lee added.
