US scientist who studied N Korean nuclear tests held in China for 2 years

An American seismologist who published a US-funded work on detecting North Korean nuclear tests faces espionage charges in China and has been detained for over 2 years. US called his detention "wrongful", adding that his release is their top priority. His wife was told by the White House that President Donald Trump discussed his release with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
