US seeks to bypass Indian govt to serve summons to Adani & his nephew after India refuses access

US SEC has asked a US court for permission to personally email summons to billionaire Gautam Adani and his nephew Sagar Adani over alleged fraud and a $265-million (about ₹2,400 crore) bribery scheme. SEC claimed India had previously refused two requests to serve the summons. It said India cites procedural reasons, like signature and seal requirements, to reject summons requests.
