US sees 11 Sloth fever cases as Oropouche virus hits North America

The US has reported at least 11 cases of Sloth fever for the first time as the debilitating Oropouche virus was discovered in North America for the first time, according to the State Health Department. Authorities say those affected had recently returned from traveling to Cuba and Brazil, where the disease recently killed two young women.
