US Senate backs Trump on Iran strikes, blocks bid to stop war

The US Senate on Wednesday backed President Donald Trump on Iran strikes, voting 53 to 47 against a resolution aiming to stop US' war against Iran. "This is not a forever war, indeed not even close to it...this is going to end very quickly," Republican ⁠Senator Jim Risch said in a speech against the resolution. One Republican backed the resolution.
