US Senators slam Facebook over Russian ads during election

During a Congressional hearing, US Senators slammed Facebook for failing to detect Russia-sponsored ads on the platform during 2016 presidential election. Earlier, Facebook said it had discovered some ads which might have been related to Russia's alleged meddling in the elections. At least 3,000 ads were bought by Russians that were seen by nearly 12.6 crore people in the US.
