US sends 4 warships as China, Russia send naval patrol near Alaska

The United States dispatched four US destroyers and a P-8 Poseidon aircraft after Chinese and Russian warships came near Alaska recently. "The [Chinese and Russian] patrol remained in international waters and was not considered a threat," the US Northern Command said in a statement. A Chinese Embassy spokesperson said that China and Russia were conducting joint maritime patrols.
