US sent elite SEAL Team 6 to rescue airman from Iran: Report

The US sent its elite SEAL Team 6 to rescue an airman from Iran who had ejected after Iran earlier shot down one of the US fighter jets, The New York Times reported. The large-scale rescue operation included hundreds of special operations forces and other military personnel. The airman had reportedly taken cover inside a mountain crevice after ejecting.
