US sentences Bicher aka 'Wolf of Airbnb' for $1 mn rental fraud

A US court has sentenced Konrad Bicher, a 32-year-old man who dubbed himself 'Wolf of Airbnb', to four years in prison for allegedly defrauding landlords of $1 million in rent from 2019-2022. Bicher operated at least 18 Manhattan apartments as "mini-hotels" and used the pandemic as an excuse not to pay landlords over $1 million in rent, prosecutors alleged.
