US shares map showing Gaza & West Bank as part of Israel, sparks backlash

US Central Command shared an incorrect map of Israel which has drawn criticism after as it depicted Palestine's Gaza and the occupied West Bank as Israeli territory. After backlash, US military rectified the error and updated the map. Palestine is currently recognised as a sovereign state by 157 of the UN’s 193 member states.
