US students coming to India for studies drop by 65.6% in a decade: Report

India attracts only 0.52% of US students who study abroad, with just 1,578 of the 2,98,180 Americans studying overseas in 2023-24 choosing India, according to the Institute of International Education (IIE). This marks a 65.6% decline from 4,583 US students choosing India in 2013-14. Meanwhile, number of Indian students in US rose from 1,02,673 in 2013 to 3,31,602 in 2023.
