US students develop cap to help visually impaired people walk without sticks

Students and alumni of the US-based Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology have developed a cap to help visually impaired people navigate without relying on sticks or guide dogs. The cap uses sensors and provides haptic feedback, allowing users to feel obstacles in the way. The project began as glasses but shifted to a hat after feedback from beta testers.
