US tells India it may limit H-1B visas issued to Indians: Reports

The US has reportedly told India it is considering caps on H-1B work visas for nations forcing foreign companies to store data locally. The US plans to cap H-1B visas issued each year to Indians at between 10% and 15% of the annual quota, reports said. An estimated 70% of the 85,000 H-1B visas granted each year go to Indians.
