US to ban downloads of TikTok and WeChat from Sunday

The US will ban downloads of WeChat and Tiktok from Sunday, the US Department of Commerce (DoC) has announced. Companies will be barred from hosting the Chinese-owned apps in the US. The ban on new US downloads of TikTok could be still rescinded by US President Donald Trump before it takes effect on Sunday, Reuters reported.
