US to invest ₹1,030 cr in counter-drone tech to protect FIFA WC venues
The US will invest $115 million (over ₹1,030 crore) in counter-drone measures to strengthen security around the FIFA World Cup 2026 venues and America's 250th Anniversary celebrations. "We're entering a new era to defend our air superiority to protect our borders and the interior of the US," DHS Secretary Kristi Noem said. Mexico and Canada will also host the event.
