US trying to weaken country by supporting anti-hijab protests: Iran

Iran has accused the US of supporting anti-hijab protestors and trying to weaken "Iran’s stability and security". Protests have erupted across Iran in recent days after 22-year-old woman Mahsa Amini died after being detained by Iran's morality police over 'improper hijab'. Opportunist attempts to "violate Iran's sovereignty" won't go unanswered, an Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson said.
