US under Trump would surely back Palestinians' aspirations: Abbas

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas congratulated Donald Trump on his US Presidential election victory on Wednesday, expressing confidence that he would support Palestinians' "legitimate aspirations" for statehood. Earlier, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu also conveyed his congratulations, calling Trump's victory as "history's greatest comeback". Trump has secured 277 out of 538 electoral votes.
