US voices concern over LeT affiliates contesting Pak polls

The US has expressed concerns over Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) affiliates contesting the upcoming general elections in Pakistan. The US said it was satisfied with the Election Commission's refusal to recognise Mumbai terror attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed's MML as a political party. The US State Department in April amended the Foreign Terrorist Organisation designation of LeT to add MML as its alias.
