US wants Ukraine to hold elections after ceasefire: Trump's envoy

The US wants Ukraine to hold elections by end of the year if Ukraine and Russia can reach a ceasefire agreement, US President Donald Trump's top Ukraine official, Keith Kellogg, said. Notably, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's tenure ended last May but no elections have been held. Trump said he will meet Putin soon and "do something significant" to end war.
