US war with Iran has cost $47.1 billion, says military estimate

The US war with Iran has cost at least $47.1 billion as of mid-October, according to a US Central Command estimate reported by CBS News. About $29 billion of that is for replacing munitions already fired, while $6.1 billion is for lost equipment. The estimate reportedly excludes damage to US military bases in the Middle East.
