US welcomes UK-Mauritius 'historic' deal on Chagos Islands

The US welcomed UK's "historic" deal with Mauritius to hand over Chagos Archipelago. US State Secretary Marco Rubio praised both nations for ensuring US-UK military base Diego Garcia remains fully operational throughout the duration of the agreement.
