US willing to send its sons, daughters to die in absurd war: Maduro

Amid the ongoing tension between the two countries, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro said that American leaders are "willing to send their country's sons and daughters to die in an absurd war". In an open letter to the American people, Maduro demanded that the US stop its attempts to "suffocate our economy" and "the serious and dangerous threats of military intervention".
