US woman buys house, car after $1.2 mn mistakenly deposited in account; held

A Louisiana sheriff's dispatcher was fired and arrested for refusing to return over $1.2 million that was accidentally deposited into her account instead of $82.56. She used the money to purchase a house and a car. The 33-year-old was charged with theft, bank fraud, and illegal transmission of funds over accusations that she repeatedly evaded requests to return the money.
